Editorial

The institute of Management in Government (IMG) was established as an autonomous body under the auspicious of the Government of Kerala in 1981 with the objective of developing managerial skill, organizational abilities, leadership and decision making skills among the government employees.  IMG has been mandated to implement the State Training Policy 2004, of Government of Kerala.  The Policy aims at building competent professional and committed civil service in the state.  This is a challenge as well as an opportunity for IMG.

In view of the implementation of State Training Programme, it has become a necessity to create a medium of communication and interaction with the stakeholders.  This newsletter is proposed to be an effective tool for programme co-ordination and evaluation.  It is also proposed to have a communication window through this news letter with other institutions.

We solicit the active participation and cooperation of all the departments, institutions and the client organizations.  We look forward to your valuable suggestions for improving the news letter.
